Cheltenham Festival got off to a wet start on Tuesday, March 12, but the weather has calmed down ahead of Ladies’ Day 2019.

Attendees have begun arriving at Cheltenham Racecourse – and although still blustery – racegoers are determined to choose style over practicality with huge hats and mini dresses.

So far, thigh-high boots, leather skirts and head-to-toe cream ensembles have arrived at the event.

As well as gorgeous and over-the-top hats.

One racegoer chose a smart trouser suit for the occasion, the fitted cream number featured a belted blazer which exposed a lacy top underneath.

Another opted for neutral shades in a white dress which featured a small thigh-split, she finished off the look with a nude coat and matching hat.

Others held onto their accessories as they braved the high winds, one woman was seen in a navy ensemble with a fur coat, she clutched her decorative headgear tightly as she arrived at the racecourse.

One attendee posed for cameras in a beautiful aqua green coat and matching hat, which featured feathers resembling a peacock complete with netting and sequins.

Another wore a huge hat resembling a pink rose on her head as she proudly posed for the cameras.

Others opted for a slightly more casual look in thigh-high boots and leather skirts.
