The body positivity movement has made many of us feel more confident during 'bikini season'.
But even the boldest among us probably wouldn’t want to wear these bikini bottoms from Marks and Spencer, which have gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
The £14 hipster bottoms have a very oddly placed red pattern, which has caused shoppers to recoil in horror.
The design quite clearly resembles a period stain and consumers took to the internet to share their bafflement that the product made it onto the market with no-one pointing this out.
On the website product reviews, one disgruntled customer wrote: "The red ombré patch on the front is in the wrong place it looks as if I have a very bad leakage when on my period!
"Definitely NOT a good look or one I want to sport when I am on my holiday.”
The bizarre pants drew even more ridicule when they were shared on Twitter, where they quickly racked up over five thousand likes and shares.
One tweeter quipped: “Flippin eck! Dread to think what's on the other side…”
Several others were quick to guess the designer was definitely a man.
“Menstrual chic!” Joked one woman.
“This looks like a still from a Solpadeine ad targeting... sore vulvas,” another man hilariously added.
